A Story of Curiosity, Ingenuity and Resilience
JEREMPAUL is a multiple award-winning, high-end lifestyle design brand founded and directed by Khulekani Msweli. It was established in 2010 and is nestled in the sugar cane fields of Vuvulane, Eswatini. JEREMPAUL is known for innovative, high-quality craftsmanship that celebrates the simplicity and ingenuity of Southern African cultures and traditions through a contemporary lens. The brand’s portfolio is centered on cultural expression, from avant-garde women's and men’s fashion to interiors, fine art, and most recently - food. The newly founded Vuvulane Food Market is a roadside restaurant serving locally sourced organic meals. It is also a marketplace for local sustainable food brands.
The name JEREMPAUL is a combination of two names: JEREMIAH + PAUL. Jeremiah is Khulekani’s middle name which his late grandfather, Jeremiah Msweli, gave him. Paul is Khulekani’s late father’s name. Khulekani was very intentional with choosing a brand name that not only represents and connects three generations of the Msweli family but was also rooted in his family’s principles. His grandfather and father were exceptional leaders in the Msweli family and the Vuvulane community, doing everything with utmost love and dedication, this is something the brand has worked hard to embody.
A JEREMPAUL piece is experienced by one generation to another, telling our story and preserving our heritage. Designer and artist Khulekani Msweli designs objects and implements projects that revive artisans' skills, to entice young generations to take part in and have pride in the value and meaning of good craftsmanship.
